Songs for Silenced Voices: a 10-minute tragic opera This professional opera has grown our of research with Liverpool's homeless community and will be performed in a disused shop (formally Mark One) in Liverpool's St John's Shopping Precinct.
Directed by Sarah Thornton and Patrick Dineen, Music by Patrick Dineen, Words by Dic Edwards, Designed by Steve Denton. Performed by Denise Kennedy and Liam Tobin.
Performances are free and open to all.

"In all honesty I can’t believe the respect I have now for you having seen the play…before when I saw someone on the streets I’d instantly presume that have an addiction to drugs or alcohol, they have done something, not that they exactly deserve to be on the streets, but they’ve put themselves there. Watching this made me realise that it’s not your fault that you are there, that there’s stuff behind it… you’ve achieved what you set out to do."
