We are running a free summer school for 13 - 17 year olds from
city and north Liverpool for 2 weeks starting 16th August. Each week
you will get a chance to build a new theatre show from scratch. Contact

Songs for Silenced Voices; a ten-minute tragic opera
returns in December
Following on from the success of last year’s Christmas opera, we
are pleased to announce
Patrick
Dineen and
Dic
Edwards have been further commissioned to develop this piece.
Creative conversations are underway, and we are all looking forward to
rehearsals of this beautiful and moving opera starting in November 2010.
Brian Morgan appointed as new Youth Theatre Leader
Collective Encounters warmly welcomes Brian Morgan into the new post of
Youth Theatre Leader. Over the next three years Brian will work with
CE:YT, directing 3 shows a year and supporting their achievement of the
Arts Council and Trinity Guildhall Young People’s Arts Award.
Brian’s previous work includes directing young actors companies
at
Contact Theatre and
Zion Arts. Brian will begin working
with the youth theatre on a new show in July. This post is funded by

Our third age tour once more with Now and Then;
an interactive forum theatre show, devised from stories told by people
with dementia and their carers. With comedy, songs, sketches and not to
mention a bit of audience interaction,
Now and Then
is touring to events, seminars and conferences in June. The show is
collaboratively project between Collective Encounters and
PSS.
